Butter Pecan Ham Mark I

Brown ham slices in skillet.

Remove ham.

Add 1/3 cup of chopped pecans.

Add 4 tablespoons of butter.

Deglaze drippings.

Add 1 tablespoon of flour. Cook flour in butter mixture as in a Bechamel sauce.
Add 1/3 Cup of Brown sugar.
Mix in 1 cup water.

Return ham.

Simmer uncovered while making mashed potatoes.

Serve ham with potatoes using the extra sauce as gravy.
